Restoring Dignity & Health: BOG Renovates IDP Camp Toilets In Maiduguri

At Balm of Gilead Foundation (BOG), we believe that dignity begins with the basics—clean water, proper sanitation, and a hygienic environment. For thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, access to safe and functional toilets was a daily struggle, exposing them to disease, discomfort, and loss of dignity.

But today, we celebrate a major milestone! 🎉 BOG has successfully renovated the IDP Camp Toilets in Maiduguri, bringing relief, safety, and improved hygiene to the camp’s residents.

WHY THIS RENOVATION MATTERS

🚻 Restored dignity – No more broken, unsafe, or unsanitary toilets for displaced families.
🦠 Reduced health risks – Proper sanitation helps prevent deadly diseases like cholera and dysentery.
👩‍👧 Safer for women and children – Secure and well-maintained facilities reduce the risk of abuse and enhance privacy.

For many IDP families who have already lost so much, this project represents more than just sanitation—it’s a step toward hope, health, and a better quality of life.

OUR GRATITUDE

We extend our deepest gratitude to every donor, volunteer, and partner who made this renovation possible. But we’re not stopping here.

BOG remains committed to improving conditions for displaced communities, and we need your support to expand this impact.
